Objectifs :

According to a neuropsychological approach to learning difficulties involving written language, the diagnosis of “surface dyslexia” is based in part on a deficit in the attentional window, resulting in a delayed or nonexistent internal spelling lexicon.

Rehabilitation of children, adolescents, and adults with this disorder focuses on developing this attentional window, an essential component of constructing a rich spelling lexicon.

The Attentional Window software is designed to broaden the visual span, which is necessary for improving the spelling lexicon in patients with surface or mixed dyslexia.

The software allows working on the quantitative and qualitative aspects of visual analysis, which is the first stage of the lexical route. After evaluating the attentional window, this software enables its development through targeted and progressive exercises.  

There are various types of stimuli: verbal or non-verbal (circles, shapes, symbols, word silhouettes…).

The length of the series and display time are adjustable.

The software includes a reference guide with examples of its rehabilitative use for surface dyslexia.
